Follow Your Back/Neck Pain to the Source
Correct diagnosis is one of the keys to the success of the Bonati Spine Procedures. Our Physicians utilize the patient’s medical history, imaging studies and a physical examination to determine the condition that is causing the patient’s symptoms.
Following the nerve pathway chart can help identify the areas that may be causing pain, numbness, weakness or tingling on a patient. Pain that radiates along the path of a specific nerve as the response of pressure on the nerve (pinched nerve) is referred to as radicular pain or radiculitis.
Per example, a patient that has a nerve root pinched along the L4 pathway may experience symptoms on the lower back, front of the thigh, down to the big toe.
The severity of the impingement on the nerve, as well as the length of time that the nerve has been pinched can produce different symptoms, and unless treated can lead to nerve damage.
You don’t have to learn to live with pain. If you have been experiencing headaches and/or a burning, numbness or pain radiating along any of these paths for more than 3-4 months, contact us now to find out if you are candidate for the Bonati Spine Procedures.
